19.7x15.8 in ~ Painting, Oil
This green still life has an interesting history. Over a hundred years ago, my great-grandmother was given a German service for her wedding. It was an excellent, expensive gift. This antique earthenware has always piqued my interest. But the only thing that has survived is this green earthenware jug.
All my paintings are from life. I filled the jug with milk and put a glass beside it. I added quail eggs. I wanted to see with my own eyes what such a vintage might look like now on the dining table. And it really is beautiful. The painting would make a good addition to personal painting collection. Also, this still life suits to any interior.
