I really like my recreation room. It is my place of recuperation, where I can relax and be alone. In the room there is a small round table covered with a bright yellow tablecloth. On it is a beautiful old teapot, my favourite blue cup and juicy fruit. In these moments they become my friends. With them I can be alone in silence, alone with my thoughts, light as the wind.

Olena Kucher is a Ukrainian artist who lives in a small town in Ukraine. She inherited her interest in painting from her artist father. From an early age she was fascinated by the game of brush and paint.
Her realistic oil paintings demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship. The vintage and antique themes of her still life paintings are of great interest to the public.
Olena is inspired by the works of 17th century Dutch painters. That is why oil is her favourite medium. She prefers to use noble and muted colours on the palette. The paintings are painted from life. She uses oil paints with natural pigments. Only cotton canvases are preferred.
Elena has an art education. She is a participant in many art shows and art events. Currently works in her private studio.
Her authentic paintings have already added to many private collections of art lovers.

Natural oil paints based on natural pigments were used. Damarny varnish and linseed oil were added.

Canvas is natural cotton, medium texture, solid wood underframe. Gallery stretch of the canvas. Framing and fastening elements are not included.

Painting technique - impasto. Layers of paint are thick. The edges of the piece are coated with golden acrylic paint. Varnish coating was not used.
